My days pass like flight of the bumble bee
with few pauses to take a breath. My thoughts and emotions are like Smetana’s
Moldou. My life is sometimes out of time like Bebop and I still swing between being
a child and grown up.
Beethoven made me realize that I can see
music just as well as hear it. Vivaldi sits under a tree to compose more
inspirational music in my mind and both Bach’s are busy making the soundtrack
to my life. Sometimes I feel like the Blues, but in an instant I can stand up
and be back in the twentieth century.
Music is my muse.
Hi, I’m Melanie. A 21 year old student from
South Africa. I’m studying to be a teacher one day and hopefully will go into
psychology. Music is my life, ever since I can remember
Queen and Roxette played in our house and I just knew that somehow, someday it
will be what I want to do. I play a few instruments, but not as good as I wish
I could. I don’t really follow the ‘rules’ when it comes to music theory, but
if we all did, then we wouldn’t have Claude DeBussy.
This blog is going to be about the history
of music, songs, musical movies and genres. Nothing too serious, but also
something that will make you breathless. Feel free to speak your mind; it’s
always good to know what someone else thinks of something specific.
Let every step be a beat and your voice the
melody. What do you want to tell the world when they listen to your song?
